This past week our London Classic Yearling Sale team paid a visit to Allstar Farms in Millbank, Ontario - a little over an hour north-east of London. The 70+ acre farm is operated by the father-son team of Ken and Nathan Albrecht - they took the ‘Al’ from their last name and added the ‘lstar’ to come up with the prefix ‘Allstar’ for their babies dating back to 2020. One of our newer consignors, in recent years, Allstar Farms has been expanding and improving their broodmare band, of about thirty, while going to top stallions along with fresh and new faces to the Ontario sire’s scene. It’s wonderful to see them coming in, this Fall, with their largest consignment to date with 19 yearlings ready to sell.

ALLSTAR ARCHIE (Cattlewash-Brookdale Grace-Rock N Roll Heaven)

A bay colt and first foal from a full-sister to the million-dollar-winner Rockin In Heaven (p 149.2s). Archie is a great looking son of a top Ontario sire in Cattlewash - standing at Tara Hills Stud Ltd in Port Perry, Ontario.

ALLSTARBLOSSOM (Beach Glass-Shes A Maniac-Rocknroll Hanover)

From the first crop of Beach Glass (p3 1:47.2m - $1.1M) comes just the second foal from Shes A Maniac (p7 1:52.4s - $378K) - the dam of Ontario Sires Stakes Gold winner Allstar Maniac (p3 1:49f - $290K). Beach Glass - standing at Winbak Farm - is known as the last great son of legendary sire and sire of sires Somebeachsomewhere and should be a great cross for this Rocknroll Hanover mare.

ALLSTARSCARLETT (Lawless Shadow-Debutante Divorcee-Art Major)

This very likeable miss is a sibling to Allstar Cheddar (p6 1:50.2 - $191K). The dam is a sibling to Why Don’t U Stay (p5 1:52m - $256K) and Ask Queenie (p5 1:51.1f - $149K). A beautiful filly from the first crop of Meadowlands Pace winner Lawless Shadow who should be a great cross for this Art Major mare.

ALLSTARLORETTALYNN (Cattlewash-Only One Star-American Ideal)

A third foal from a sibling to Wicked Pace (p2 1:52.3s - $525K) this daughter of Cattlewash is one that the Albrecht team are very high on. Sired by the very popular Cattlewash this filly may catch your eye when she shows up in London.

One final note… For anyone travelling in the area of Allstar Farms there is a gem of a dining experience in Anna Mae’s Bakery and Restaurant. Their broasted chicken dinners were a big hit with us and their banana cream and apple crumble pies, for dessert, were delicious!
